New Job!

I can't believe I forgot to post this. David got a job with Walgreen's! He will be working in the Bountiful store. We are so excited that our income will almost triple! He has started working and says he really is enjoying it. We are so happy they are willing to work aroung his school schedule, nothing like a real paycheck. We haven't decided on what we are going to do as far as living down there. If anyone knows some good cheap apartments or basement apartments let us know.

This time last year.

Last year at this time I was huge! I looked as big as a house and was absolutely miserable. That week before Chandler's birth was a crazy one. David's dad had come up to have some tests done and he and Marcia were staying with us. It was so great to have someone here to help me/ laugh at my ridiculously swollen feet. About 5 days before Chandler was born Marcia snapped these pictures of my piggy toes. I can't believe how swollen they had gotten. The other picture is one of the only pictures I have of me pregnant (there is also one my uncle Jer has but I will have to beat him if he shows anyone). This picture was taken exactly one week before Chandler was born. We had a girls night me, Kaye, Brook and Eliza. It was a good last night out with the gals before the big day!

New Face

Chandler has been giving us this face the past few days. Don't worry he is not kissing you if he does it, he usually pulls this one out when he is mad or his sippy cup is empty.

Easter Egg Hunt

We were lucky to have David's parents and sisters stay with us this week. We had such a good time. We watched some good movies, went to dinner, and attended a play at the Roger Memorial Theatre in Bountiful. We also had a fantastic Easter egg hunt.

Chandler loved picking up the eggs and shaking them:
Chandler's basket full of eggs (special thanks to Grandma Marcia for picking most of them up) :
Cute little jean jacket babies!

Cheese

We just say "Cheese" And he smiles and smiles!

In the kitchen with Channy

Now that Chandler is all over the place he loves to crawl into the kitchen and open all of the doors. He really loves when he opens them and slams them shut, he gets quite a kick out of making mama jump. He also loves to pull out the dirty silverware in the dishwasher, and not to mention licking them. I am hoping that this is a good sign. Hopefully he will want to help clean up around the house (I highly doubt it).

5K

It's true, I have been "training" for the Ogden Marathon 5K race. I have been running for about 2 weeks now with my friend Robin and some ladies from my ward. I am doing this not only for the shirt but also to get in to shape and lose some weight. This week David has been my partner and things have been going great. Yesterday I finished 1 whole mile! This is the first time I have ran a mile in over 3 years, it was a great accomplishment in my book. Today we went again and finished our mile in a slow 12 minutes 40 seconds. I am hoping to be running at least a mile and a half within the next week. The race is Saturday May, 17 and I am hoping and praying I can run three miles by then. I can't wait to cross the finish line.

Spring?

We are sick of winter at the Black house. Yesterday it was almost 50 degrees! That is the warmest weather we have seen since September. Chandler and I ventured out to the backyard to stand in the sun. Chandler didn't really like the grass but he go use to it. Hopefully spring is here and it will continue to get warm.

Our little Mozart.

I don't usually play the piano when Chandler is awake, but the other day I was and he was amazed (not with just my skills but the music that he could hear). I got up to answer the door and while I was talking with the tenant I could hear the piano. Chandler had stood himself up and was reaching as far as he could to hit the keys. It was so cute! I guess we will have to start lessons soon.

Kid in a "tool" shop.

David is starting a shelving business so we had to get some tools. The other day we went down to Home Depot and David was in heaven. He reminded me of a little kid in a candy shop. He will probably kill me for posting this picture of him flexing like he is handy but he is the one who posed. It has been great for David to get out of the house and do something he enjoys. Lets just hope he is willing to make me the toy box, picture frames, new entertainment center, bed for Chandler, etc.

Teeth

Chandler is extremely proud of his new teeth! He is almost 11 months old and within the last 2 weeks he has gotten or is getting 6 teeth. There have been a lot of late nights, but who cares now the kid can chew! If you want to see his "goofy grin" just ask him, he will smile really big and scream!
