Snow,snow,snow!

Yummy.

My awsome new snow boots.

We have been getting lots of light fluffy snow today. So after a quick stop at DI(which is totally awsome here in Centerville) for mom some snow boots we headed outside to play. Chandler was so bundled he could barely move, but we had a great time!

Santa,dancing,and of course some crying.

Saturday was the ward Christmas party. Lets just say it was the best party ever. Santa danced for us, we made gingerbread houses, played bingo, had breakfast, and sang Christmas carols.

Chandler was not happy about Santa this year. We still had a great time..

New Jammies!

Yesterday we got a package for Chandler, inside were some new Christmas jammies. Grandma K sent them to us that is why they say "Whatever Santa doesn't bring me Grandma will". When I showed Chandler what was in the box his eyes got really wide and he wanted to put them on. He ran around all night in them and his rudolph antlers.

Fourth Tag.

This is a Tag. I don't usually do tags but this one sounded fun. It also made me see that I need to organize my pictures. If you haven't done this one, do it. Upload the fourth picture of the fourth file in you pictures and tell us about it.
This is an adorable picture of Chandler at 3 months. He is wearing his golfing hat (thanks Anbre) and his chick magnet shirt. This was when he was starting to smile and I was taking tons of pictures. Not much to tell other than that he is super cute.

Chicken Chili

I love winter and all of the soups that come with it. My Aunt Tracy is a domestic goddess and shared this recipie with me. It is super yummy and great for cold winter days. I make mine in the crockpot and it is sooooooooooo good. I thought I would share it with you:

Chicken Chili (Ronni's way)

1lb Chicken (breast or tenderloin work well)
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 can chicken broth
1 can chopped green chilies
1 tsp salt
1 tsp gound cumin
1 tsp dry oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
Throw everything in the crockpot and let it cook on low all day or at least 4 hours. The chicken can be frozen (you will need to cook it longer).

2 cans great northern beans
Add beans to chicken 1 hour before serving.

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream
Stir in sour cream and whipping cream 1/2 hour before serving.

* I just use sour cream and thicken it with cornstarch.*

Serve in bread bowls or with bread sticks.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year we had a little bit different Thanksgiving. David had to work Thanksgiving day so we had our Turkey dinner Saturday night with some friends. Thanksgiving day was spent setting up Christmas decorations, cooking for Saturday and relaxing (mostly Chandler and mommy).

Saturday night we ate turkey with all the trimmings and played rockband until we couldn't keep our eyes open. It was a great Thanksgiving.

Random Pictures over the last few months.

With all of the nice weather we have been going on some hikes. We went on one just up from our house and up a canyon near layton. Chandler was a bouncy tigger for halloween and greeted all the candy givers by saying "Hello" in a very deep voice. We had a great time.

Online!!!!!!!!!!!

We are excited to say we have been reconnected with the internet! The blogging is going to be better than ever!

Chandler is getting so big. He loves to throw his balls around all day long. He also likes to carry them all at once. While cleaning up one day he came in the room and this is what I saw.... He was holding the balls that wouldn't fit in his hand with his face. It was so funny. He does this all the time and gets really mad when he drops one. I guess you could say he is my little Gus Gus (you know the mouse on Cinderella that tried to carry all the corn at once).

Happy Blogging.

The Happenings

Okay so I am at my mom house this weekend and have a computer with Internet so I will up date you all on our life's since our move. Lets see. We moved to Centerville in June and love it. We seriously have the greatest ward in the whole wide world. they are the greatest people and have made us feel so welcome. We have been enjoying the warm weather and have rode our bikes lots. Nothing to exciting happened in June because we were still managing the apartment complex until July. That was not to fun. People crying about every little problem really seem obnoxious when we were 30 miles away. It went fast though and we are so glad we are done with the managing business.
July was really eventful. We went on our first non managing vacation. It was so nice to go to Blanding and not have to worry about water problems, air problems, or annoying people. We had a great 4th and it was so fun to spend time with the family. Chandler had t0 have surgery in July and that was a little scary. He had hypospadias repair surgery (look it up because I don't want to explain it). The surgery went great and he was back to jumping off the furniture the next day. Okay so it was not that eventful but it seemed like it was.
August was lots of fun we had a great trip to Santaquin for the Orchard days and had a fantastic time at the Rodeo and parade. Without school starting we have really been enjoying the fall.
Chandler is growing up so fast and loves to play all day long and watch lots of Disney movies. He is not a real big talker but he does love to give kisses and hugs. David is enjoying his job at Walgreen's and enjoys help Elder Nelson and President Eyring, it is a happening place. I am desperately trying to lose weight and it is not coming off very quickly. Besides not eating and attempting working out I have been decorating the new place and collecting Christmas decorationgs (I love Christmas). We are all happy and loving the cooler weather. We are getting the internet soon and will start posting some new pictures. Keep sending your emails so I can add you to my list!

5K

Saturday was the 5K I have been "training" for. It started at 7A.M. and it was a very chilly/blustery start at the mouth of Ogden canyon. My awesome sister in law Kaye ran with me. It was a great run. We took it slow and steady. We may have not gotten the best time in the world but I am VERY proud to say I did not walk one second of it! 3.2 Miles for a big gal is not bad!

Next race I will be sure to do my hair a little better and put on some makeup. :)

3 years already?

May 6th was our three year anniversary. We went to Park City and David shopped his little heart out. Now this was my plan to go shopping and to spend lots of money. Did I? No! I got one pair of jeans and a necklace. Oh well we had a great time!
We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner and then had a great pancake breakfast the next morning. We stayed in a little studio condo that had a kitchenette. It was great fun to get a few nights away just the two of us.

Graduation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On friday the the 2nd of May David graduated from Weber State with his Bachelor degree! We had such a good day. First we went to Daniel's graduation (David didn't want to walk), then we went to the mongolian grill for some yummy food. It was a great day!

Birthday and Zoo Pictures

The White Alligator. Pooping Rhino.

Channy's monkey friend.

Sleepy boy after a long day.

Rewind April.

So a lot went on in April and since I was a little blog lazy I am going to catch all of you up. Chandler turned one! On the 5th we had a great birthday party with all of the cake, ice cream and presents a spoiled little one year old could ask for. Chandler had his first piece of cake and loved it. If you look at the picture below it is like he is mad with sugar.=)

Chandler got lots of toys, clothes, shoes and books. That same day my mom and I had Chandler's pictures taken. Talk about painful. He wouldn't sit still and kept crawling out of the room where they take the pictures. The photographer was absolutely no help, she sat there and I am not sure she even knew what she was doing. We got some cute pictures though so I guess it was worth the hassle.

On Tuesday the 8th we took Chandler to the zoo. I am not sure if he liked it or not but we sure did see a lot of poop. It seemed like every animal we saw was pooping all over the place (great for pictures). We saw all of the animals but our favorite was a little black and white monkey, I am pretty sure he was Channy's favorite to.

Are you kidding me?

Okay so most days I don't mind being manager of our complex, but there are some days when I would like to punch some people in the face. About 10 minutes ago I see there is a message and unfortunately decided to listen. It is a tenant (of course) and they are wanting to know when their new stove is coming. Okay let me give you some background.... these kids who can't both be over the age of 20 just got married and think they are the coolest people in the whole world. First they wont let anyone work in their apartment unless they are there (I guess they are worried someone might steal their hand me down crap), they are always being complained about by their neighbor, and they call every week about their stupid stove they say doesn't work. Jose who is our new maintenance guy has been to their apartment at least 4 times and says every time that their stove works great. So thinking it is in working order we stop the shipment of the new stove. Two days later I get another phone call, they tell me it is not working again. Jose comes back over (Jose manages his own complex and doesn't have a lot of time to deal with stupid crap like this) after about 5 minutes in his apartment he comes and gets me to show me their stove. When I get to their apartment all four burners are blazing and the stove is roaring, so it works. So tonight I get this phone call and just want to call the kid and say "I don't care if your wife is a crappy cook and can't get a stove to turn on we are not getting you a new one so just deal with it." So I guess I am putting this on the blog so I don't make a huge jerk of myself and I will have Dave deal with it in the morning.
If you do read this thanks for listening to the stupid crap that goes on at our complex.

Oh yeah I am doing some major updating tonight!

Any Ideas?

This is how I feel most days! It always seems no matter how hard I try to keep the house clean, the floors swept and the laundry done it never really gets done. Trying to play with Chandler in a dirty cluttered house is torture, most days he just plays in his crib while I try to clean (ya I am kind of a bad mom). So this is my question to all of you domestic goddesses who always have clean homes, swept floors and clothes to wear; How do you do it? What are some of your secrets for staying organized, keeping up on the laundry, making sure the house is clean and having enough time to play with you kids, relax and do other things ? Also any ideas for getting a bathtub really white and shiny? Our tub is so gross, it doesn't matter how hard I scrub it always looks grey. Any suggestions would help!

Just so you know.

Okay people, we DID NOT buy a mini-van because #2 is on the way. Just wanted to make that clear to everyone. No babies at this house for a little while.

Mini vans and mom haircuts!

Wow it has been a long time since I posted something new.

Lets see.....

David and I have been looking for a new car the past few months and have had no luck. With gas prices as high as they are and SUV's being extremley expensive we were beginning to doubt we would ever find a car. One day while looking on KSL.com I found a Mazda MPV, it seemed pretty nice so we decided to look at it. We both drove it once and we were in love ,the rest is history. We are now the proud owners of a mini-van, yes a van, the one vehicle I vowed I would never ever drive. I also have a sassy new mom haircut. So it is now offical heck has froze over!

New Job!

I can't believe I forgot to post this. David got a job with Walgreen's! He will be working in the Bountiful store. We are so excited that our income will almost triple! He has started working and says he really is enjoying it. We are so happy they are willing to work aroung his school schedule, nothing like a real paycheck. We haven't decided on what we are going to do as far as living down there. If anyone knows some good cheap apartments or basement apartments let us know.

This time last year.

Last year at this time I was huge! I looked as big as a house and was absolutely miserable. That week before Chandler's birth was a crazy one. David's dad had come up to have some tests done and he and Marcia were staying with us. It was so great to have someone here to help me/ laugh at my ridiculously swollen feet. About 5 days before Chandler was born Marcia snapped these pictures of my piggy toes. I can't believe how swollen they had gotten. The other picture is one of the only pictures I have of me pregnant (there is also one my uncle Jer has but I will have to beat him if he shows anyone). This picture was taken exactly one week before Chandler was born. We had a girls night me, Kaye, Brook and Eliza. It was a good last night out with the gals before the big day!

New Face

Chandler has been giving us this face the past few days. Don't worry he is not kissing you if he does it, he usually pulls this one out when he is mad or his sippy cup is empty.

Easter Egg Hunt

We were lucky to have David's parents and sisters stay with us this week. We had such a good time. We watched some good movies, went to dinner, and attended a play at the Roger Memorial Theatre in Bountiful. We also had a fantastic Easter egg hunt.

Chandler loved picking up the eggs and shaking them:
Chandler's basket full of eggs (special thanks to Grandma Marcia for picking most of them up) :
Cute little jean jacket babies!
